Dr James Baldacchino
James Baldacchino graduated as a lawyer from the University of Malta in November 2017 with a Master of Advocacy degree. He joined the Malta Gaming Authority as a Junior Legal Counsel after being admitted to the bar in March 2018. In his current role as Head of Legal and Enforcement, he oversees the Regulator’s legal matters and manages its Enforcement directorate. Additionally, Dr Baldacchino currently chairs the Compliance and Enforcement Committee and has recently been appointed as member of the Supervisory Council, an internal committee tasked to evaluate licence applicants, discuss regulatory developments and policy-related issues. Prior to joining the Council, he served as the Vice-Chair of the Fitness and Propriety Committee. He is also a member of the International Masters of Gaming Law.
