The FIAU Malta has launched a consultation exercise on a series of proposed amendments to various legislative instruments, as part of Malta’s ongoing efforts to transpose and implement the EU’s AML Package. The proposed changes relate to the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, the Prevention of Money Laundering and Funding of Terrorism Regulations, the Centralised Bank Account Register Regulations, and the Use of Cash (Restriction) Regulations.
The FIAU encourages subject persons to submit their feedback by not later than 31 July 2026 via email at [email protected].
