Information Sessions on the new EU AML Legislative Package

Registration will open on 20th March 2024, at 11:00am

The Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit is organizing three half-day information sessions to provide subject persons with an update on the new EU AML Legislative Package. Specific attention will be given to recent developments concerning the Regulation establishing a new EU AML Authority, the AML Regulation, and the AML Directive. The discussions will particularly highlight the sector-specific impacts of these changes.

The information sessions will be delivered in-person (live) and are limited to 200 participants for each session.

Subject persons are strongly encouraged to attend the session applicable to their sector.

The information sessions will be held at the Malta Business Registry, AM Business Centre, Triq il-Labour, Zejtun as follows:

1. Wednesday 3rd April 2024 at 08:30 till 12:00

This session will be dedicated to the financial services sector, i.e. banks, financial institutions, investment services providers and collective investment schemes, insurance undertakings and intermediaries, and retirement pension schemes’ service providers.

 2. Thursday 4th April 2024 at 13:00 till 16:30

This session will be dedicated to the gaming sector, both land-based and remote operators, and virtual financial asset service providers.

3. Friday 5th April 2024 at 13:00 till 16:30

This session will be dedicated to the designated non-financial businesses and professions sector (DNFBPs), i.e. trustees, fiduciaries and corporate service providers, accountants and auditors, notaries, real estate agents and lawyers.

The registration fee for each information session is €40 (inc. coffee break).

Certificates of attendance will be emailed to all participants.

**Kindly note that a photographer will be in attendance with photographs taken during the Events, subsequently published on selected social media and online websites. Consequently, upon registration, you automatically consent to the publication of same.
