Notice – CBAR System – Downtime

1st June 2022

The FIAU would like to inform all CBAR users that on Friday 10th June 2022 there will be scheduled down time between 07:30 and 13:00.

During this maintenance window, the CBAR Portal (cbar.fiaumalta.org) will be inaccessible. All operations around the platform will resume immediately after the maintenance window.

The FIAU will be using this time to update the system. The following upgrades will be impacting Reporting Entities

• Deletion Report
Currently, any changes in relationship start dates for existing relationships or removal of accounts/account parties without a closing date or relationship end date in the previous submission, will render the file subject to Manual Approval, as indicated by the submission status on the CBAR Portal. Up till now, the CBAR Team has been communicating these occurrences through the CBAR message board upon file review.
Following this upgrade, a Deletion Report will be immediately made available to Subject Persons. The report will summarise the anomalies encountered when comparing the most recent file to the previously approved file. Reporting Entities will also have the ability to export this data in Excel format.

• Enhanced messaging functionality

New functionality will be added so that Reporting Entities can proactively submit clarifications in relation to a submission, including situations where the file is at Manual Approval as described in the first point above.

The CBAR Team will be reaching out to CBAR Reporting Entities to invite them for a webinar where additional details on the new functionalities will be provided.
