Upgrading of the Suspicious Reporting System (goAML)

At the end of December 2024, the FIAU will be upgrading its suspicious reporting system (goAML) to a newer version. This upgrade will include an enhanced web portal user interface, a new XML schema, and additional web portal functionality. Along with the enhancements, a new list of reporting indicators will be provided.

Should the existing XML schema be utilised by the subject persons to submit reports in XML format, the system will not reject the XML report, however special attention should be made in mapping the correct reporting indicator as further mentioned below. New XML elements will be introduced in the new XML schema to support future data collection requirements. More details will be communicated in the coming weeks on how the new elements can be used.

Revised Reporting Indicators

It is important to note that for reporting entities that submit in XML format; the FIAU will be updating its reporting indicators. This will require the reporting entities to use the new indicators. For those who submit via the web portal, both the new and changed indicators will be visible and the correct indicators must be chosen. A subsequent guidance document will be issued in the coming weeks.

Updated Technical Package

The FIAU is working on updating its technical package, which will feature the updated XML schema, technical documentation including the updated indicators and STR/SAR examples. More specific information on which indicators will be affected will also be published in the coming weeks.

Upgraded Test Environment

To facilitate the transition phase, the FIAU will publish the updated technical package, and an updated test environment with the new version. This will allow the obliged entities to test the new web portal interface and the XML submissions with the mentioned changes. Access to the portal will remain the same as the existing test portal.

To ensure the successful transition to the upgraded system, subject persons submitting in XML format, are urged to forward this information immediately to the technical teams and plan the necessary changes before the communicated deadline.
