EUROPOL & AMLA Publications – July 2026

The Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit (FIAU) would like to bring to the attention of subject persons the following publications by EUROPOL and the Authority for Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AMLA).

European Union Terrorism Situation and Trend Report 2026:

EUROPOL has published the European Union Terrorism Situation and Trend Report (EU TE-SAT) for 2026, which provides a situational overview of key figures and developments in the EU’s terrorism landscape during 2025. The report identifies and examines various forms of terrorism motivated by different ideologies, including jihadist, right-wing, left-wing and anarchist, ethno-nationalist, and separatist terrorism. Furthermore, this report features key trends and statistical data on terrorist attacks, and terrorism-related arrests, convictions and penalties in Member States.

While the primary purpose of the EU TE-SAT is to provide an overview of terrorism trends, the report also includes descriptions of specific violent extremist incidents, activities, and developments reported by Member States, offering a comprehensive assessment of the security threats faced by the EU.

This publication can be accessed directly from Europol’s website or from the FIAU’s website under the tab “Europol”.

AMLA Annual Activity Report 2025:

AMLA has issued its 2025 Consolidated Annual Activity Report, which provides an overview of the Authority’s institutional development, its contribution to the EU Single Rulebook, efforts to strengthen AML/CFT supervision, and initiatives aimed at promoting cooperation among Financial Intelligence Units.

AMLA has also published a summary of its key achievements for 2025.

These publications can be accessed directly from AMLA’s website or from the FIAU’s website under the tab “AMLA”.
