goAML Updates

6th December 2024

The FIAU would like to remind subject persons of the upcoming updates to goAML. Reference is made to our previously published information which may be accessed through the following links:

Upgrading of the Suspicious Reporting System (goAML) – FIAU

Release of the updated technical package for the FIAUs suspicious reporting system (goAML) – FIAU

These changes stem from feedback received from reporting entities, therefore the FIAU has revised its list of indicators and sought to redact this list whilst still ensuring that the necessary data and information can be captured effectively. The changes made to this list includes new indicators which serve to combine one or more of the indicators which were on the previous list. Furthermore, for ease of reference, indicators have been grouped into categories, ex. Predicate Offences. It is very important that when submitting a report, all indictors which are relevant to the report being submitted are selected.

Furthermore, those reporting entities that submit in XML format should also note that the XML schema will be updated accordingly to reflect these changes.

New Report Type on goAML: Call for Action Report (CFAR) and Call for Action Transaction Report (CFATR)

The Call for Action Report (CFAR) and Call for Action Transaction Report (CFATR) will be introduced on goAML as of 1st January 2025. The main purpose of these reports is for subject persons to report transaction(s) and/ or activity(ies) connected to Category 1 jurisdictions by means of the goAML platform, in line with the provisions of Regulation 11(11) of the PMLFTR.

For the reporting entities submitting in XML format, please update your local systems with the new report indicators to avoid report rejection.

As a result of the introduction of this new report type, subject persons are no longer required to submit such reports using the STR format coupled with the indicator RT-33 reading ‘Call for Action – High-Risk Jurisdictions subject to a Call for Action’, since this will no longer be available.

Updated Technical Package

An updated technical package including the following has been released.

XML Schema – XSD version 5.0.2 (mainly for XML submitting reporting entities).

XML Schema Technical Documentation explaining the changes to the schema, including the new fields that can be used for enhanced reporting.

XML examples for the comment reporting types (SAR and STR).

Upgraded goAML test environment and web portal end user guide.

To ensure that testing can be performed in advance of the go live date, the FIAU has upgraded its test environment and can now be used to test the web portal user interface and the XML schema.

Please visit the upgraded test environment here.
