14th July 2021

In May 2021, the FIAU published a guidance paper entitled ‘‘Enforcement Factsheet: Common Observations across sectors subject to AML/CFT Supervision’. The paper sought to analyse the enforcement actions undertaken over the past two years, to provide subject persons with insights into the most common observations emanating from AML/CFT supervisory initiatives.

To complement this Guidance Paper, the FIAU is organising a webinar on Friday 23 July, between 14:00 and 15:30 (CEST),which is of interest to all subject persons.

The purpose of the webinar is to help subject persons further align their internal AML/CFT controls with the current legal obligations and the FIAU’s expectations. During the webinar, FIAU officials will go through the common findings with respect to the understanding of the ML/FT risks, the application of Customer Due Diligence measures, and reporting obligations. The webinar will be further enriched through the presentation of case studies.

The webinar is being provided free of charge and interested persons may register for the session.

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN ON THURSDAY 15 JULY AT 9AM AND WILL CLOSE 48 HOURS BEFORE THE WEBINAR.

Interested persons may watch a recorded version of the webinar which will be uploaded on the FIAU website following its completion.
